Default Isle of Man TT

There is nothing on earth like it. Matt I know you love F1 but I'll bet you respect and love this more. This is a by-gone-time when racers really faced death in every race. 3 deaths so far this year. 17 deaths since 2010. I used to watch it ever year "holding my breath" when it was regularly on TV.

hate to be a stinker but.....

I'm not sure I rate the greatness of a race by how many folks die in it.
I think the TT has reached the stage of just stupid.
The supersport classes are blisteringly quick.
as a younger idiot I thought of life as getting close to the edge but now, nah not so much.
there will be the calamity someday when a bike finds a larger crowd and shreds them.

Last night I watched my taped highlights of the TT senior race - awesome - unreal - breath taking racing.

I never said it was a great race because people died in it. You don't know me at all if you thought that was how I measure great races.

The great battle between Hutchinson and Hickman with near identical times after some 50 miles into the race on the most challenging track I know of in the world made the event I watched great. Not 16-time winner Hutchinson having an accident that resulted in a broken leg at somewhere at about that point and time.

I love watching this at some points they are going so blisteringly fast it gets blurry watching it on t.v. There really is no room for error with the speeds they are traveling and also the size of the road they are racing on.
