Have you seen a video called "The Incovenient Truth"? I think it was narrated by Dan Gore or Al Quail (I can never keep those two straight). The theory is that if all of the ice melts, the sea levels will rise 40 feet. The phallus to our south currently known as Florida will become our new "Keys". The peninsula will probably extend to Ocala or maybe even Sebring. What is currently 40 feet above sea level?
Damn, I hope they missed it by about 25 miles (the distance we are south of Ocala) and then WE would be the ones with beachfront property!

Check your elevation. Are you 40 feet above sea level?

Having spent time in Lake Tahoe (Incline Village) in both summer and winter, I think it would be high on my list of places to live.

St. John (USVI) is awesome too, but I'd have to have a lot of books shipped in to keep me happy.

I've always thought the Lake Tahoe area would be a wonderful place to live because there is so much to do in summer and winter. Having married my guy from Maine who freezes at 70 degrees F, I don't think I'll ever have the chance to find out. But the Virgin Islands he might go for!

Wildncrazy your description of Ontario is very accurate. You must have been that far north.
As for the rest of you, bless your hearts, you don't know what north is. Try England.
One of the things we love most about Onatrio and Michigan is the beautuful sunny days and blue skies all winter long (with a few exceptional days).
It is all so relative. I've heard from southerners, bless their hearts, before that they cannot stand our grey skies and I'm thinking, "what do you mean, grey skies, these are a beautful blue - try England.

That's called adapting. After 15 years in Florida, my mother would turn on the furnace whenever the temperature went below 75
