The scales went off the pegs and I fell back into my past ways and the pounds quickly accumulated. I gained two pants sizes, and even with new pants, had trouble buckling my belt. This Thanksgiving didn't help, so today, I threw in the towel. Weight Watchers, here I come! Wish me luck!
Cruises are always the perfect way to gain weight. We went on one for our 50th and both gained weighed. You can’t resist stuffing your face every day. Good luck with Weight Watchers but you should also do some exercising especially cardio to burn off the fat. Start off slow and gradually increase the intensity.

Slowly is the key.
Cardio exercise is good for that. Buy a HR watch and track your HR. I use one and can sustain 80% of my MHR. It took me a while but gradual increases in intensity got me there. Good Luck.

Rick is diligent about using the treadmill, bike and weights in the basement. I find the hardest part of home exercise equipment is getting ON the damn stuff.
I like the people, the social aspect and an instructor telling me what to do at the Y. Some of the instructors play some pretty good music too.

Most home exercise equipment ends up being a clothes hanger.

I cycle daily, weather permitting, during the summer. My regular rides range from 12 to 26 miles. But I'm here to laud those of you who are able to ride stationary bicycles. I really don't know how you can do it. l hate them with a deep and abiding passion. I've tried two of them over the years and neither one even lasted a month. After 73+ years of riding bicycles, I still do not understand why I get so very bored and hate the stationary bike.

So, in the winter season, which is close for me, I walk. I have lithium-ion heated cloths and ski goggles that let me walk even if the temps are in the single digits.

When I had a stationary bike in the basement it was right in front of the tv and DVD recorder. Put in a movie or porn and pump away!!
Seriously, I never minded a stationary and at the same time always loved a real bike but both gave me issues with my prostrate and I said, thanks but no thanks. I'll walk. And now, even that's not easy.

I would love to add a reclining style bike but can't really justify it.
