I had right shoulder reverse replacement surgery on 10 May. I had to spend 4 weeks at home in a fairly rigid sling contraption. I dropped using the Narco three days after surgery which I guess is too early in the doctor's view but I did it anyway. I lost my appetite. So, I fell from 125 down to 115 and felt terrible. So far, I've only worked myself back up to 118 but I still don't have much of an appetite.

My favorite Italian restaurant has been closed for renovations. It's supposed to open next week. I'm going to go into a full pig-out down there when it does. I'll trust the Italian side of my genes to get me back up to 125. It ought to be a sure thing,

Thanks for asking. According to the physical therapist I'm recovering at the leading edge of his prior patients. I bought some of the simple equipment that they use at the PT facility and do a lot at home on my own. He's very happy with the range of motion that I've achieved. However, had I known what I know now about shoulder replacement, I don't know if I'd have done it again. It's a lot of pain for a very long time.

Bang out a couple of Fettuccini Alfredo entrees Harry that should do the trick.

It will get better!
Did you buy a set of pulleys? They were very helpful to me after my shoulder surgery. As a matter of fact, I passed them on to my cousin's friend after her shoulder replacement. She said they were very helpful and still uses them now and again.

I did, Lainey. They are incredibly helpful. I was just working with them a few minutes ago to work on my shoulder position. The therapist is happy with the range of motion but now wants me to work on holding my shoulder down to keep the range instead of lifting it. It hurts like hell and I have to focus very hard on keeping it low like the good shoulder.

I also bought a series of colored elastic bands and some light weights for some of the other routines that they have for me.

Thanks for the good recommendation.

I had the same issue with lifting the shoulder. Everything is awkward and it all hurts. Shoulders have so many different movements. The last one to come back for me was the ability to hook my bra in the back. One less thing you have to worry about I'm sure tucking in your shirt in the back will be a challenge. Just don't bother

You told me why you don't take pain killers on Facebook and I totally understand but that has a lot to do with why it hurts so damn much. You're doing remarkable with out them, albeit, with lots of pain.

What is your favorite food there, Harold?

After my broken humerus open reduction and internal fixation surgery, on May 9, 2019, I was surprised I lost weight and assumed it was due to muscle loss. You've given me a different possible reason. I have the papers on which I wrote down the times and pain meds I took. I took pain meds from May 9th all the way through June 24th. The medications were changed to keep me from becoming addicted every two weeks, to a lesser strength one. I think I may have lost my appetite, too. I know I wasn't drinking wine like I usually do.

There are actually several favorite foods there, Patty. Some of these are not on the menu from time to time. I've been going there for more than 25 years so they are kind enough to make up a dish off-menu for me if I ask.

The list:
Risotto con Gambieri
Risotto con Pomodoro Essicato
Pesce Bianco
Pollo Limone
Bosciaola
Vitello Scampi
Auricchietto Alfredo con Scallopine

And desert is almost always Flan con dolce latte (same as dolce de leche)

You must always drink wine, Patty. I'm about to open a bottle of The Prisoner (lovely red blend).
