Good for you, Lainey, getting back to your exercise routine. I'm sure you'll be feeling happy about it even if it makes you suck wind at first.

I have about a three pound zone that I float in. It's not where I want to be but at least it's not as high as it was when I first posted. I've kept off 5 lbs. I blame it on the lack of exercise due to the frigid cold and snow in Loveland, but I do like the weather. I'm off to Cali today so perhaps I'll get in some rides on my old ElliptiGO that's still there.

Input is no longer the problem. Caloric expenditure is.
Somehow I need to find a way to do more.
Sitting in front of this stupid computer doesn't exactly burn a hole in the seat. ( well usually )

I'm floating in a three-pound zone, too. The ones I lost before the holidays. But at least I'm not going up more. I've been eating more chocolate - dark chocolate, but still chocolate. I've been keeping the dark chocolate-covered cherries around. I said I was not going to order them again after we ran out last week, but I gave in. I do pretty well outside of that. But the only exercise I've been getting lately is walking. Need to hit the gym more for rowing. To me that is the best overall exercise, except for swimming.

In the past I get my best results losing pounds when spring comes and its officially coming next week. I am always more motivated when I can get outside and walk a brisk pace without worrying about ice. How motivated am I? I went all out and bought a fitness tracker! Yep, I spent the big dollar and bought a Vivitar tracker at Target for $5.00. It can count my 10,000 daily steps just as well at the Fitbit charge 2 that I may buy if it does push me to get off the winter fat.

Instead of eating junk food after having dinner out last night, I had a raw carrot. My mother would be proud. My wife just laughed.

I find it easier to get in the steps in nice weather and when I'm not working (obviously) . I wonder how many folks still use the pricey fitness trackers they bought? I guess seeing results on a tracker is a good motivator. I put my phone in my pocket and it has an ap that counts my steps.

My best friend has been using one for some time; in fact, he's on his third one (first was a gift; others from breaking them). He swears by it. He's hooked on it. He forgot his charger when they went to AL for a week and it drove him nuts! I know the one I bought actually counts arm swings, not actual steps. Are they all like that?

I purchased an iWatch. It works both as a fitness tracker and a watch plus I can use it in the pool. It was a bit expensive but I have ruined several Fitbits by getting them wet.
