They always manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory when it counts in the playoffs.

The Red Wings let a 3-1 lead in the series slip away and it's now down to a Do-or-Die Game 7 Wed. They had the lead, 2-1, going into the 3rd period last night but came up short when it mattered. The ref's did not do them any favors with a couple questionable calls at key times but it doesn't matter what anyone thinks; it's their call.

If the Wings can put it together for 3 full periods they will still have a great chance to win in the other team's barn. Go Wings!

^When does hockey season end? Hasn't the ice melted by now, even in Canada?

The regular season is too long but the owners gotta make money to pay those million dollar salaries -- although it was cut in half this year due to a strike. If it goes to game 7 of the final series it could go till June 28th! The ice will have melted in Alaska by then.

Well, the Penguins had a slight scare in the first round but look like they've righted themselves.

Let's hope they're up to the challenge of the Bruins.

To come so close to reaching the conference finals only to come up one goal short in OT of game 7 in the 2nd round was disappointing but also satisfying.

The Wings started the season with the loss of three key veterans - Lidstrom, Stuart, and Holmstrom. To make matters worse Wings led the NHL in man-games lost due to injury! Several starters were out essentially the entire season. This gave an opportunity for 6 players from the farm team to step up. The youngsters did great and certainly gained valuable experience for the future. They had to beat the Ducks in game 7 on the road to advance and they pushed the Blackhawks, with the best winning regular season record to the brink – OT in their barn.

Can’t wait for next season to start. Go Wings!

What a game tonight. If you love hockey the Bruins vs. Pens tonight was awesome. Bruins won near the end of the 2nd OT but there's was great play on both sides all night.
