Yes, they are Major AH's; they owed me a credit but could only cut a check to Bob. They couldn't credit the account. Go figure. I keep asking them what part of "dead" don't they get? Oh well. I would probably have to switch to Comcast!

I don't know about Comcast but I hate Verizon. They are still looking for Bob no matter what I tell them. On a recent phone call to them regarding my e mail account, they were reluctant to talk to me because his name is STILL somehow connected to the account. I told the sh*thead to call Bob and let me know if he answers. I have quesions too.
these companies are morons when it comes to deceased people. I still get letters from verizon for my dad addressed to him asking for collection of his last bill. he passed almost 3 years ago!!! I send em back with his cemetary address written on them. Somehow they have never corrected the address and continually send them here with threats to report his credit as bad.

When you get really fed up go to the top - write a letter.

Thanks Zippy! Nice to know that I wasn't singled out. Nice touch on the cemetary address!

I don't know much about Comcast, but It appears they own the Versus channel that broadcasts the Tour de France every July. That channel has now been pulled from DirectTV in a dispute with Comcast, so I am wondering whether the Tour will be accessible next summer. I like DirectTV, because I can take the box along when travelling and receive a satellite signal with a disk installed in Colorado -- something I can't do with cable.

If you decide to dump Comcast and go with Direct TV satellite, ask if they still give $100 for customer referrals. Existing customer giving the referral and new customer may each get $100.

We did have direct TV years ago and when HD come on, we needed a new dish(or so we were told). Couldn't do it; surrounded by tall pines so we can't get the signal unless I cut trees - they are not mine. I don't think I could cut trees for that reason anyway. Thanks for the offer.

Also Satellite has trouble (or used to) during bad storms when a signal can't penetrate the cloud cover. I want my rabbit ears back.

I have DISH and am less than happy with it, especially the creeping cost. Unfortunately, I don't know anybody happy with cable either, for the same reason.

I have DirecTV and have no problems. Live 1500 feet so very windy and no problems in storms either. Had to get a new dish when I got my HDTV, but I had been a customer long enough that they didn't charge me anything to install it and hook it up. I pay 69.99 per month for basic HD service plus half dozen local channels. Includes a DVR of course.
Have never had Comcast but I hate their commercials. Plus they send me mailings at my office, where I couldn't sign up if I wanted to.
