The other day a guy was standing on a street corner, wearing a pig mask and holding a sign that says Comcast sucks! Right now I'd like to go stand with him.

Got a letter that we need cable boxes and adapters to continue receiving all the cable channels that we pay for. We're not into fancy cable packages.

My sisters and I pay for my Mom's cable. The bill comes to my house, they take my check every month, and right now I've got someone telling me that I'm not authorized to order this equipment for my Mom. They won't bend either.

I will order what she needs on line, but right now I am most annoyed!!!!!

Chill girl. Since the bill is not in your name, they don't want you ordering stuff. Makes sense to me. What if an angry neighbor wanted to give you a hard time, so they just started ordering Comcast stuff for you? Anyone can pay the bill but only your mom is responsible for it.

Did I mention that originally our Comcast service was in my wife's name, rather than a joint name, and they would not let me make account changes. So I had a name change made; seems like I had to even go into their store to do it.

I hear you Dave. But these folks make it very hard to help out an aging parent. I've been down this road before and it annoys me to no end.

The bill comes to my house, MY phone number is HER phone number of record, they take my check every month, I think when they look at the whole picture there CAN be exceptions to the rule, because I say so.

Oh, I've been there too.....Just now they didn't check carefully enough, and yet they authorized a credit on some equipment for my aggravation, and offered me a different package at a reduced rate..

Still hate 'em. I like the Verizon people better.

but i agree with Dave - i would order all kinds of stuff pay per view and movie channels for erick if i could

but why not just call as your mom they don't know who's on the other end of the phone

There is just something about the cable company that never sits right with me. All they do is raise the pricing structure.

I'm not that TV crazy, but we do watch TV. It annoys me to pay $60.00+/month just to be able to watch something other than the reality shows on network TV.

Lainey, what doesn't go up? Except for that (according to all the tv ads). You can always listen to the radio for nothing; and generally it's better than tv.
