My biggest concern in switching from Blackberry to the Droit X when my contract is over is e-mail, Can the Droid X receive e-mail the same way that the Blackberry does? By that I mean I have 6 addresses, 3 on the optonline.net network and 3 on a corporate domain. Can I get all of those on an Android powered smartphone?
I happen to agree with Bill, surfing the net on a Blackberry is a futile activity. I have the Storm 2 which has about the biggest screen of any blackberry and it's still impossible to see, and fairly difficult to use on the internet. The only time its useful is if you already have the page bookmarked and go directly to it. For example I read the newspaper on my Storm and I can google wiki on my Storm, but I have a great deal of trouble reading the threads here on it.

I believe the limit for email is 10 accounts on the Droid X.
It would be nice if we S2Ki could recognize portable browsers and change the setup.
it is difficult to read without constantly rescaling.

I have a question? Which carrier are you using?
I find it interesting that Verizon is now advertising their 4G network as 4G LTE as the infrastructure for the ITU standard for 4G does not yet exist in the U.S.. Some watch dog group must have called them on the carpet IMHO. Thankfully.
BTW, The Verizon ad makes NO Sense to me. The young man runs to his mail box. Not using the dirt bike that he ran past (by the barn) to retrieve a "snail mail" package from Verizon that he then runs out of the barn and throws the contents away? I guess this is a classic example of why I could never make a living on "Madison Avenue". Maybe I am the one that is wrong and "cross wired" and just think that I am applying "logic" to it?

Verizon, and yeah i think their 4g ads are 'misguided' at best.
it was almost like they were trying to steal some of the marines ads.

I just bought an HTC Aria from the AT&T on-line store, reconditioned, for $9.95. I love it!!! It uses the Droid operating system, has a virtual keyboard for texting, and connects to their 3-G network, as well as any available Wi-Fi connection. I chose AT&T for a couple reasons: my oldest son works for them, and I get a 16% employee discount due to the company I retired from having a corporate account with them.
I initially had some learning issues when I first got it, but now I think I've got it down. I downloaded the Kindle app, and have purchased a couple of books from Amazon, and really like the convenience of carrying the book I'm reading with me in a very small package.
Guess I'm sold on the newer technology.

I ditched my Blackberry Storm for the Droid2. I came really, really close to pulling the trigger on a Droid X, but decided that I wanted the physical keyboard of the Droid 2 over the 720p HD of the Droid X.
I love this phone! Miles ahead of the bb and way better than the iPhone. I'm actually seriously considering learning how to write android apps.

Here is a link for a an article regarding a site that allows you to develop your own apps. I have not looked into it yet.

So yes, imo the adds are misleading.
