I got a vanity plate for my S2
Sometime back, someone out there in the often times vast wasteland of the rest of the S2KI site, ran a thread about the "best" vanity plate (although, I'm sure he called it a "personalized" plate instead).
I found myself going through way too many of the submissions, many of which sounded too much like emissions (not necessarily of the exhaust variety) or references to wailing engine sounds.
I decided that there might be a plate in the future for my car, but only if I could capture the essence of the car with the plate. I actually wrote down the word "essence" and stared at it for about 22 seconds before I realized that a very slight tweak of the word made up of a very important element of what I enjoy about the car; close linked turns or, TA TA, esses.
My car now sports a plate with the following; "ESSES2K".
I like it.

Bob, congrats on finally getting your new plates. Took them a long time to get here from Siberia, or where ever they were made. Looking forward to seeing them next week.

Vanity plates are fun...my screen name has permeated my car, too. The +1 ordered plates about six months ago (2nd Life - which I think is ...Carmen could have those, too) and they ended up being sent to some old address in FL. So dean, Vic, Grant, DrC et al - if you see them anywhere down there, you will know where they came from! They have to be reordered.
