I have it insured through Grundy. I went through a local agent friend of mine and got the best price/coverage from them. YMMV

As an aside, when I totaled my 2001S 2 1/2 years ago, I got a very fair and timely settlement from USAA, considering it had 155,000 miles on it. I did negotiate a bit with them, but we came to a price that I was happy with.

I've got the S2000 with Grundy as well. No issues, but I haven't had a claim of any sort. 911 is with Hagerty, again no issues but no claims either.

I knew there was another company to consider but I couldn't remember the name. Grundy. Thank you. I will keep my 2007 S2000 on USAA.

Every time I call they come up with another excuse as to why it is taking so long.
That's ridiculous! Five weeks of this?! I will look at Grundy.

These reviews look bad for Grundy.

Scoots, this was my friend's reply.

I don’t see anything wrong with Hagerty they’re pretty solid and profitable company. Their stock was just upgraded. They had a blowout quarter and blowout year. They’re changing some of their agreements and some of their marketing strategies. I believe I remember they are using State Farm to underwrite their classic car policies. I had a small claim on my restoration. They took care of it quickly so I wouldn’t get too concerned they’re probably the best around.

Big mistake on my part. I read the one star reviews first. Thank you for the link. I've been short on spare time to research this properly and your link was helpful. I appreciate it.

I think it is difficult to get a good reading online about many subjects, such as this one. I suspect almost all the posters on a Consumers Affairs site are negative. Hagerty had way more bad ratings than Grundy on that site.

I place personal experience of people you know over anything posted. My best friend with numerous classics has all his cars under Grundy but he’s never had to file a claim. You never know until you have to.

Agreed. Happy people rarely take the time to leave a review.

Many years ago State Farm had a reputation for not wanting put new parts or OEM parts on unless you did a lot of push back. That's why I was disappointed to learn they now likely handle the Hagerty claims.
