I figure I will work until die or become gravely ill while I am still working. I doubt I will retire before 70, when SS kicks in (yes, they have already given me the estimate, 69y and 10m) my parents were the first ones that had to wait longer than 65y. Mom was 65y and 2 month, dad avoided it with early retirement at 62y 6m. But I could live longer, who knows. Both parents are in good health and very active at 68+.

Like most of you...I don't want to live with pain and being dependent. Although I am sort of hoping that they will have a cool virtual world by then that I can get plug into. No guilt for me. No wife. No kids. Guess I should just sell everything before then and make a recuring scholarship or something.

No males that I can trace back in my family tree have lived beyond 65.

I have to go for a quickie. My grandmother quit smoking when she was 85 because she thought it was bad for her. She'd smoked since she was a teenager! If I live to be 85 I'm going to smoke, drink and do anything else that I can manage! Ok now You are now being returned to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

As far as how long I expect to live -- I'll be happy with every single day I get at this point. What's the old saying "if I'd known I'd live to be this old I'd have taken better care of myself".
