Default How hot was your summer?

I really cannot complain about the weather this summer. It seems like it was one great day after another. It did seem to be hotter than usual. How hot was it in your neck of the woods?

June was the hottest and driest on record. July was about normal. August has been cooler and wetter than normal which has helped the garden and other plants immensely.

Pretty much a mixed bag. How you doin' Bill?

Bill, I think my summer weather was about the same as yours.

It was pretty good S2000 weather. I bet it was pretty good for too.

Pretty miserable. The heat was just unrelenting here. Not many days of "cooler" weather. We set all kinds of records for days of 100 or higher, along with much of the country. Not over yet. Humid and 93 today.

What do you mean "How hot was your summer". I'm in South Florida, it ends in about 6 weeks, lol. Overall the heat is fairly normal, what wasn't was the rain. A normal summer we can can't on hot days and afternoon thunder storms to cool things off. This year we were more likely to get no rain for days, and then have days where it might rain most the day. Usually we never have to run our sprinklers during the summer due to the daily afternoon thunder showers. This is the first year ever we would have multiple days without rain and need to turn them on. It really was not a normal summer, well so far.

Judging by my electric bills for July and August, it was the hottest we've ever experienced in this house, which is almost 13 years old.

^^ Mine were over the top this year too. I noticed that little consumption chart the power company so thoughtfully provides that covers a year's worth: July and August were wayyyyy higher this year.

June and July were scorching, but that said, I am not complaining. Our winter was mild with very little snow, so far a good year!
