This is my other ride........ by far, the longest 'get 'er running restoration I've ever had. I'll do a couple things and then set it aside for a couple years.

A number of my MG friends have chrome wires since they are only another $100/wheel and they look good even on our LBC's. I am too attached to the old days when they were stock. Of course, even back then the smart drivers never would have trusted racing on wires when solid wheels, if available, were so much safer. I ordered a replacement wheel today, and although its brand new I will paint it again with Plasti-Kote bumper chrome 'rattle can' paint to match the others.

Always wondered about that, Dave. I didn't think that wires would be that great an idea under the stress of racing. Guess that's why the twin-cam had steelies. Love the Arctic Cat. Is it close to get-er-running condition yet?

Only if I can remember where I left off. It needed a new wheel as one was cracked. I got one off eBay to swap and then I got side tracked....

Talk about rides! We went downtown to eat dinner tonight. When we came out I saw the nose of something very unfamiliar to me. Something you never see in our town. A 510 hp Aston Martin V12 Vantage S. All in black except for a subtle low key silver roof section. I'll bet 99% of the people who walked by it never even noticed it. A $200k stealth car if there ever was one. Looked something like this one; I couldn't get over how small it was.

Love those cars...reminding me to go to Cars and Coffee in Great Falls VA Sat AM. Some there for sure along with other high end rides and some lower end ones. All very nice.
