Speaking of politics and the media, is it me or is Africa not getting it's fair share of coverage regarding the Tsunami victims. Maybe the numbers aren't staggering enough but 30k died in Kenya alone and it seems to me that the TV media hasn't mentioned them or sent crews to cover that or any other of the coastal African countries that much. Are the papers/networks reporting how much of this humanitarian aid and dollars they're getting just for this event? Think politics are involved here too? Racism? They're dying off with AIDS anyway thinking? What? Curious.

I think the AIDS crisis in Africa isn't getting enough coverage.

As controvery goes, the Tsunami victims in Africa, politics, and other genuine issues in the world today, have a certain "civility" and "maturity" as a topic of discussion between persons who care enough about them to banter about them. I say, let's have a gender war

I used to read the Village Voice all of the time.

Jack Newfield died last week. He once made the comment that his reporting was done, "without the pretense of objectivity."

You want a controversial subject, here is one, and you can blame it on the uppitychick because that pic in her sig is just too darn cute.

Cats rule, dogs are dumb.

Now that ought to fire things up around here...

You start it, I'll play along. You know, it's pretty bad when we can't find anything to fight about anymore. Where have all of the controversial people gone?

Ohhh, Lawd, Flts -- good thing your tongue is in your cheek or I'd have had to catch a flight down there to nekkid land and you'd be speaking from your posterior!!! I was thinkin' just when we southern women finally got a little respect . . . you know the rest. You're a trip and someday I am coming down there to meet you.
