Hooked on Vintage
#14
I got to visit my daughter there once, about a block away from her apartment was a bagel shop that has the best bagels I'd ever eaten. I got to play golf at a club that butts up next to Oakmont named Oakmont East, would have loved to play the real thing though.

I live about three miles from Oakmont CC. The US Open is coming next year. They usually send a flyer around looking for people to rent their homes to the golfers for a week. Last time they were here they were paying $2,300.00 for a week. But from what I read a lot of the homes had some pretty extensive damage.
As far as bagels, if you ever get the craving let me know and I'll express some to you.

Hi ya'll, I've decided that the vintage forum is like being hooked on crack. Every few minutes or so when I'm home I have to check in and get my fix. Does everyone else here have the same problem?

Wait till you come to your first meet you will instantly be hooked. Look forward to meeting you. Post often it's nice to chat with someone that really doesn't know me

Maury, those of us (well some of us anyway) who have met you still enjoy chatting with you. Don't ask me why.

Me either. I'm hardly ever on.
Wait until you experience a day when the site goes down. The withdrawal starts within 1/2 hour of you discovering you can't "talk to us."If there is a message telling you what time to anticipate the site being back on line, you'll keep checking, hoping they underestimated the time needed to fix the problem.
Mind you, that's what the other addicts told me. I don't do anything like that.
