I got to visit my daughter there once, about a block away from her apartment was a bagel shop that has the best bagels I'd ever eaten. I got to play golf at a club that butts up next to Oakmont named Oakmont East, would have loved to play the real thing though.

I live about three miles from Oakmont CC. The US Open is coming next year. They usually send a flyer around looking for people to rent their homes to the golfers for a week. Last time they were here they were paying $2,300.00 for a week. But from what I read a lot of the homes had some pretty extensive damage.
