Default Honda to unveil a new sports car

The automaker plans to unveil a new Accord sedan and a next-generation sports car at the Detroit motor show in January. For 2007, Honda expects a further 3 percent increase in sales to 1.56 million units in the U.S.

I thought that the news report that Dave posted was slightly mis-leading when it mentioned that Honda manufactures "light aircraft" http://youtube.com/watch?v=7032PBiIDyM

My sources tell me that the color was to throw off the competition during early test flights of their new product line.

That article is a little vague. It is hard to tell if they will unveil a car slated for production, or a show car "proto-type" that has only a slight chance of eventually becoming a production car, or something in between. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Other sources I checked said that it will be a prototype that is expected to be an indication of what the V10-powered NSX replacement is going to be like.
I remember folks were posting an artist's rendition of an NSX replacement a year or so ago. I thought it looked very good. I wonder if the protoype will look like that?

Aren't they supposed to be introducing a new version of the CRX later this year or next?

If you are talking about the HSC proto, I believe that I have read that it will be a departure from that.
