What do you guys think of this one page resume with the Hyperlinks and Branded Icons from the companies I have worked with. I use this one when I am just chatting away with colleagues or prospective employers.

Here is my 2 page resume. I left off the last 2 employments because they were internships. And it allowed me to focus on 2 pgs with achievements on my last 3 employers.

I would be careful, the corporate logos on your resume might be a copyright infringement.
It does make it stand out though.

You're right. I guess as long as I am not monetarily selling anything than myself I am sure I am ok. Although I am sure its not allowed

Also another TIP. Be careful on what you post online, especially on Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, etc... at the very least keep it professional.

Talking about references...;
Here,in Quebec,it is against the law,for an employer to take references on a person applying for a job,unless he had previously signed a paper(agreement),attesting that he agrees the employer to take references.

And,it is also against the the law,for a former employer,to give refences,(good or bad,) until he receives,the signed ,above document.

All under the "Charte des Droits et Libert

^ Written references have degenerated into fluff here in the US also, and it's also in fear of lawsuits.

Telephone calls, on the other hand, often are more candid. But you still have to listen carefully to what's not said more than to what's said. People are just not willing to be negative in most cases. HPH

I don't know why people have you list references. Are you going to list some one who will not give you a rave review?

Also, just one point of philosophy I always keep in mind and that is:

For every rejection you receive it brings you one step closer to a yes.

Old door-to-door salesman adage.
