Wish you well my butt! I'm gassing up and heading down there to shake your hand in person for this one. I'm so very proud of you and I know Barb and everybody else is too. Keep up the good work and send directions to your house.
Best news I've had in a good while.
PS: Does this mean you won't be standing under Dean's tree in the front yard when I pull up for FFIII?

Quit smoking tobacco or quit smoking altogether?
Thank you all very, very much for the encouragement and well-wishes. It's way to have a support group that spans the entire continent. You guys are the best!
I'm going to continue to take it an hour then a day at a time but I really think it's going to work. It's been easier so far than I thought it would be.

Congratulations Mike,
Keep after it, you may have some difficult times, but after a couple of weeks the urge usually passes within a couple of minutes. (to smoke, that is)

Congrats about today, Mike. Hang in there tomorrow...I think you'll make it through tomorrow just fine!
I quit for three years. Didn't start until I went to work at the Hospital. I've quit twice since...All three times I started again were in a bar.
Boy...food sure tasts good after you've quit for awhile. But smokers start to smell rather foul. Wine is awsome and colds tend to be less frequent. less severe, and more brief. Plus you avoid no end of hassles and you wake up in a better mood. Not smoking rocks! Enjoy being a non-smoker, Mike.
