Hats
#11
I have about 6 baseball caps that I keep in the back pockets of the seats and under the seats...Chivas Regal (a gift cap - nice hat but not my favorite Scotch!), Classic Motorsports (also a gift...British cars), a Yokohama cap (my tires), a Miata cap (this one really annoys my Triumph Spitfire friends when I wear it...also confuses the Miata guys at Autocrosses), a cap from the Aquarium of the Pacific, and a Lipton Brew Crew cap. I kinda rotate these (and then forget where they are and grab another from my closet; thus, the reason I have 6 in my car)....when I decide I need to wear a cap. I'm with you on the placement of the sun. When I'm driving, the sun comes right over the top of the windshield frame and hits me right in the eyes. I refuse to wear my glasses so fortunately non-prescription sunglasses work ok.

Would a pair of prescription sunglasses work for you?
My sis also had glasses that came with "magnetic" sunglasses, which just stuck to the frame, so it was like two pair of glasses in one, and a better fit than the "clip on" variety of sun glasses.
Rick and I both wear baseball hats which work for us, though I add sunglasses all the time and Rick does some of the time.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
[QUOTE=ralper,Jan 24 2005, 08:03 PM]I was going to get an old English type Kangol cap, or even one of the poor boy type caps, but they looked better when I had my MG-TD.

My tops almost always down and I'm usually wearing a baseball cap. It doesn't do much for keeping my ears from getting fried. When I'm on a long drive with the top down, I have a baseball style fishing hat that has a little sun flap that drops on the side and around the back. That works very well.
While we're on hats. What's the fastet speed you've gone with your top down and your hat on? My baseball cap starts becoming unstable and trying for lift off around 110mph.

Go to the Kangol website and check out the tweed cap and the "small apple/newsboy cap". The small apple/newsboy is what I meant by 'poor boy.
Either of these caps should be satisfactory based on the clothes that you like.
I used to have both in the MG days.
