Boxing Day This year

I read that Boxing Day this year (2020) was celebrated on December 28 and it is NOT because of the Carona virus. It seem that if Boxing Day falls on Saturday or Sunday it will be celebrated on that Monday. since Christmas will fall on Saturday in 2021 Boxing Day will fall on Monday, December 27.

I have never given it much thought but Boxing Day here is always the 26th, if it falls on a weekend then the work holiday is the first Monday. This year it fell on a Saturday and we had Monday off as the holiday (for people who work Monday to Friday).
