birthday. I just got a phone call from an old friend, Jerry W., who I worked with in San Diego when I was 23 and he was 40. We kept in touch until the last year but now are reconnected again. He lives in Tucson.

I didn't end up going karting because it was too late after my son, Kyle, and I went to our local Mexican restaurant for dinner. When we came home he gave me a really nice 
letter that made me 
and a gift card for Starbucks, and he made me a cake! It is delicious. My daughter hasn't ever made a cake, but Kyle is a great cake and cookie maker, like his mom.
