On behalf of my Canadian blood I thank Granny for her belated best wishes for Canada Day, which used to be called Dominion Day, when Canada was a dominion of England.
We had great plans for a wonderful drive for yesterday but when we awoke the skys here were grey and the rain followed. Do we stay home and tackle some of the "always there" tasks or do we take the holiday? We took the holiday, and in doing so combined all three countrys we have lived in. We went to Stratford, Ontario to watch a Comedy of Errors by the great British bard (in our German made car, not Tachus). Celebrating and being thankful for this great nation of Americans that gave us a holiday to enjoy our 36th wedding anniversary on. Best, belated, wishes to you all and may we all have many more years to enjoy Independance Day.

I'm at South Lake Tahoe in Cali. We watched the fireworks over the lake last night. Oh my God! It was the best show, by far, I've ever seen. They used three barges on the lake to launch them and overlap them. It was a long, gorgeous show with lots of people on the shore enjoying it.
