Grannyrod is alive
I'm glad to report that Grannyrod is alive and well. She came by for a little visit today bearing gifts of fruit and beautiful flowers. It was great to see her. She's in SC for a weekend of r & r.

Seeing our Val in person was another thing that brought tears to my eyes (in more ways than one). I was expecting her to be all down and laid out somewhere, so imagine my surprise when I caught her coming down the stairs when I knew she was only supposed to be one floor. I went into shock and "sweetly" told her she was looking and doing just great and so much better than I ever expected. I was expecting her to pitifully comment to me in a lil' ol' lady voice something like "oh honeychile, I'm doing the best I can, barely getting around" or something sweet like that but what did she reply in a gruff voice? "Kiss my a$$" I knew right then and there she would be just fine when this initial stage is all over.
It was so good to see her in what can only be described as Barbie's Dream House and there stood "Ken" with the biggest grin I've ever seen on his face. It was hard holding back the tears as she got on her little cane (broom) and took me on a tour of the dream house. Of course I forgot my camera. I can't wait to go back when she's really up and at 'em. Won't be long, honey, just take it easy stay out from up dem stairs before you fall on yours!
