Google - My best friend at times
#11
Google is my home page at work. When my l(users) call or email me with some obscure or obtuse message from Windows or Office I'd much rather use Google myself than ask them to Google a Windows problem or use help(less) in Office.
It seems to reduce the number of uninstall/reinstall and installation repairs I have to do.

Google is my home page and frequently accessed for help with definitions, information, visuals and maps. I’m much obliged to their services.
Google is probably equally appreciative in the fact they get to market and sell my personal inquiries and searches.

Google is your friend!!!
I use it daily....
When someone asks me a question, quite often I say "google it!"....
Even tho a GPS's maps might not be as up-to-date as google maps..... where do you need google maps the most... when you are out in the middle of nowhere, with banjo music playing, and no service from your cellphone carrier!!!!

Google downloads the local maps as it needs them.
so if you have no cell coverage.... you have no maps.
there are others such as co-pilot which download but to the best of my knowledge, Garmin has never made that transition from a hardware company to a software company.

Good reasons, there, Jerry.
I look at the GPS as a primary for navigation, the iphone as secondary, if I want to check for a different route, etc. I have used it when I didn't have the GPS with me. Worked fine, but I had cell phone reception. As others have mentioned, no cell phone signal, means no maps.

1) I have the modifry holder and have hardwired power to the unit.
2) I plug it into my Radio Aux outlet.
3) My Garmin has mp3 capability so I can play music thru the stereo and when new directions are announced the Garmin stops the music and makes the announcement over the stereo so I don't have any issues hearing them.
Also supplement the Garmin with an App to identify congestion (Ways).
