It seems as if the saga of the winning lottery ticket has a new twist.

Based on what has been reported so far, any opinions out there on who really bought the ticket? With that much money at stake, I'm sure it's bound to get interesting.

That was pretty clever of the first woman to claim she lost the ticket. However, the story was a little too convenient I thought, even when I first read it. She and Pete Rose oughta go out to dinner together.

The second woman is the rightful owner, she's got the receipt to prove it.

Supposedly she filed a police report with the winning numbers before the lottery occurred? True/false? If so, that adds a fascinating twist to the saga.

I agree with Smokee. The first woman is smoking ground driveway pavement. Besides, Ohio law clearly states the person with the ticket gets the money...period. I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Quick update: The woman who claimed to have lost the ticket hired a lawyer and was threatining to sue. The prosecuter office now may file fraud charges against this woman, turns out she has a very checkered past with several run-ins with the law......and so the worm turns.

Now she's admitted she lied about losing the ticket. I guess people will do anything for a shot at that much money.

I saw an interview with the lawyer. He was a complete clown. He should have known better. But maybe his fees were going to be based on the amount of any award so it was worth his risk.
