Default Georgia Geezer Gala

I'm starting this thread to gauge interest for a Vintage gathering in the NW Georgia/SE Tennessee area the weekend of October 6,7, and 8 (9 if you're so inclined).

I'm of the opinion we should not allow ourselves to be outdone by the Blue Bellies.

There are lots of attractions in this immediate area to include:

The Tennessee Aquarium and the Riverfront area in downtown Chattanooga.

The standard tourist attractions/traps - Rock City Gardens, Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, etc.

The Chickamauga/Chattanooga National Military Parks - seems appropriate.

The apple country in the Ellijay/Blue Ridge area - lots of great scenery.

I'm just throwing these out there to see what folks might like to do. If you have an interest post it in this thread and we'll go from there as far as trying to find accomodations, etc.

Count us in, I think I can get around my work schedule.

I haven't been to the TN Aquarium in ten years or so and I've never been to any of the other places. You pick.

Hey, good luck with this thing. Oct. 6 - 8 is going to be a real Vintage weekend.

Who is going to be on S2KI?

Mike, how far are you from Savannah? Is it too much of a drive from your place?

I love it! Oh and your new avatar? Is that a Southern Gentleman by any chance?

Did you want me to "pin" this thread for you?

Great! Glad to see this event shaping up. We have amny new members from the southern states. I hope many of them support and attend this event. Maybe I'll drive down for it. I've been to Gettysburgh.

It's 6 or 7 hours. We could make that for the weekend but someone else will need to organize the meet. As I said previously it's been a long time since I've been there.
