Default George Mason in the Final Four!

All I can say is - WOW! They really played a great game today against UConn. Not to mention the teams they knocked off getting to this point. Looking forward to the next one!

Andrew was accepted into George Mason so he may be going there in the fall. It's not his first choice, but their winning has created some buzz.

My daughter is in her second year at GMU...
She's attended the past two games and has been having the time of her life!

Congrats, I guess, but as a Washington fan I think UConn never should have gotten there. The Washington Huskies outplayed UConn almost all of the game, but made a couple of key errors right at the end. That's what the NCAA tournament is all about, I guess.

I suspect that Washington forcing UConn into an OT game on Friday contributed to UConn losing another OT game on Sunday.

U-C-L-A ! I was a fan in the glory days. Pauley Pavillion was a magical place, 98 straight in the early 70's.

I doubt that the students at GMU even figured they'd get this far. Congrats!

Congratulations to GMU. GMU is the lowest seeded team out of the Final Four. I will root for the underdog.

Aside from the underdog status, another reason to root for GMU is that they're playing the evil Gators. HPH

Michael Wilbon (Wash Post sports reporter) has a great column about the GMU team in today's paper, if you have access. I read the online version. Here's the link:

Having George Mason in the Final Four makes things this weekend much more interesting. These guys really seem to be together as a team. the teams that lie in their wake all took them far too lightly.
