Gene Pitney, singer/songwriter of the 1960s died the other day at the age of 65. You probably remember "Town Without Pity", "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence" and "Love My Life Away", but did you know the he wrote "He's a Rebel" recorded by the Crystals with Darlene Love singing lead.

Gene Pitney is in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

I sure do remember it. I like Gene Pitney a great deal. My favorite has always been "Town Without Pity". Just the right blend or teenage pathos.
