I closed escrow on my house yesterday in Trabuco Canyon, part of the city of Lake Forest, Cali. Had the garage redone the same day. First, the cabinets were striped out, then the blue epoxy paint on the floor was ground, and then the new resin/polymer floor was put down. I'm very happy with it. I walked on it today, in less than 24 hours. Much better than the old dog chow! BTW, I won't move in for 10 days.

Nice floor, Patty! You really hit the ground running! Lots of garage space. Did you just toss the storage cabinets?

I have car buddies who would die for those cabinets (right Doug?) Floor looks good Patty. Are you going to redo the break between the new floor and the bricks?

Yes. The installers took them in their truck and were going to offer them to the other guys and trash can what wasn't taken.

That's a stain on the cement if I know what you're talking about. Do you mean the dark spot?

Oh, when the guys took out the cabinets on the left wall (second photo) they found a black spot to the left of the three vents down at the floor. It's black mold. Gotta get that taken care of. I think it's just from something that spilled in the cabinet but I guess the dry wall has to cut out to make sure the wall isn't full of it.
