Like a haughty, cool-demeanored Nicole Kidman who surprises with lusty movie performances when let loose from the confines of expectation, Honda surges forward to the front of the pack in the sports car run with the champions. This is one chariot of fire that's on fire. Any rear-drive sports car, a scant five inches above ground, riding a high revving, 2.2-Liter, 240-HP four banger with a short-throw six-speed manual as the only trans option ought to tell something about performance from the get-go.
Wow! I like that paragraph.

"If some are surprised that Honda, universally known for sturdy, dependable and uncontroversial sedans, is a little on the wild side -- make that a lot on the wild side -- it's probably because they haven't really looked. Honda's engines are unparalleled for performance in a small package. Its powerhouse motorcycles are legends. And its spiffy S2000 roadster is becoming one...

Yeah, baby!

And the gals are right, too.

Even after over 1 1/2 years I still gaze longingly over her smooth, muscular body and wide rear...... sigh

I just sent the e-mail below to a friend of mine that drives a BMW 325 because she is in to the status of driving a "Beemer". Last year when I was going through a checkpoint at a secure government facility and the MP asked her to "pop her hood and trunk open" I have to show her where the hood latch was on her car that she had been driving for almost five years :-)

With that stated: I will admit that while driving with her she "instinctively" (perhaps because she was taught by her foot ball coach father) drives fairly smoothly. On constant radius turns she (unlike a lot of BMW "Ultimate Drivers") makes only "ONE" turn out of it, not forty seven. ;-)

Sue,

I thought that you may find this interesting? Naw! What do care about cars, or status for that matter? ;-)

http://www.roadandtravel.com/roadtests/buy...005Sexycars.htm

BTW, I did not buy it because I was having a "Mid-life" crisis, or because I thought that it was "cute". I bought it because I appreciated the technology behind the car, and that it is effectively a "street legal race car". If you have any doubt about that, just give me a call. Now that the temperatures are up to accommodate the "Ultra High Performance Summer Tires" as the Bridgestone S-02 are, I would be "HAPPY" to take you for a ride. I bought it to drive it! As I have as I turned 50,000 miles today since 16 Apr 03. :-( I still have to smile a bit when I remember back to your reaction when one day I got a "clear shot" at the entrance ramp from the Eisenhower Connector onto the inner loop of the "Beltway". :-)

Let me know when you are ready to go for another ride now that temps are up and the S-02's (tires) are really working. ;-)

Regards,
Matt

Thanks for the link.

I passed it over to the New England folks.

One has just gone on to purchase a Boxter S. I made sure to note there was no Boxter S in the group.

When ever I park at work, I find my self glancing back at my baby as well. I also find myself glancing back at my baby after I back her into our garage, to get one last glance before putting her to bed.

With that stated, going back to cars in general.

As anyone taken a peak at the new Pontiac Soltice? It looks like more a hybrid styling excercise that the S2000 (which in my opinion looks like mating a Z-3 and a Miata).

Check out the Soltice and provide your feedback.

Talk about a styling hybrid? What do you think?

I ALWAYS pat her rear when I put her to bed.

and I think I've already given my opinion about the Solstice styling.
