I average 4,000 a year, but who's counting?

I have to keep an eye on my car insurance renewals when they come in because Mercury has a bad habit of automatically increasing my estimated predicted mileage by about 1000 miles each year. This definitely adds up when they do that to all three vehicles and particularly when one of the vehicles only gets about 4000 miles a year on it, so a bump of 1000 miles is a huge percentage of an increase in annual miles. They really ticked me off about the Lotus because they wouldn't take my word for it on the odometer reading and required I send them multiple maintenance receipts with officially recorded mileage from the timeframe of when I first got the car and then one more recently to establish my typical usage. But I suppose I can say that "luckily" I had plenty of maintenance receipts for the British car. LOL.

Ha. On Britishcarforum my signature line is "All the pieces falling off my car were engineered to the highest British standards."

That's about right. 'cept some of mine could be Toyota. Actually, very few of the Toyota bits are a problem. Mostly it's everything *around* the Toyota bits that are a problem.

Last year drove less than 1600 miles including ~800 miles to Hershey for spring fling.

but i did order the new cushion, now i just have to pull the sat out and replace it.
read the manual and looked at the fix-it threads.
It was a fairly straightforward fix with only one true pain in the arse.
The seats is tied into the frame with these little wire upholstery thingies and they have special pliers to use with them.
Technically they are clips called hog rings. I came up with a few other names as I struggled with them.

All told it was about 3 1/2 to 4 hours start to finish so it really wasn't to awful.
Made sure I vacuumed under the seat area before I put it back in.
when I was finished I looked at the seat rails and they were still cruddy
oh well.

415 miles within the last year. I’m not certain why I keep it.

Father, I don't need to make confession. My S2000 gets "drove hard and put away wet" !! It's fun in town, great on the track, loves the twisty roads, and is super on the interstate. Soon it will be pointed towards someplace in NY. Scoots, it's almost time to go.
