Yes there is. It's called more talent.

Sorry can't agree with this...when it's fourth down and they have a wide lead but still go for the td (game vs Bills comes to mind and if I remember correctly they did this twice) - it's nothing but running up the score.
Kicking a field goal in that situation would be running up the score. A field goal is an almost gauranteed 3 points that the Pats did not need against the Bills. Going for the TD on 4th down gives the defense a legitimate chance to stop the drive AND it gives the offense valuable fourth and goal experience that may be helpful in later games. Take for example last night's game, where the Pats desperately needed to go for it on fourth and goal! Nice to be able to say "been here, done that." before you line up for the play.

The Ravens beat themselves last night. The Pats found a way to win, and in the end they deserved it.

I just heard the latest controversy with the Pats. The Ravens are claiming the referees were on the Pats side and only called the penalties on the Ravens

Games are won and lost on the merits of the teams going at it for 60 minutes. Bad calls are part of the game. When the calls go your way, you don't complain but only when calls go against you. Players and coaches should learn to lose graciously and gracefully and come back next time prepared to win.

Well they could have punted or put in the second string to give them some desperately needed experience...but they didn't.

Umm, in the past few weeks, the Pats have won 3 games (Bills, Ravens, Colts) when their best guys played hard for 60 minutes and they dug it out. This week in particular, they won on a huge 4th down conversion.

But they don't need to practice that, they need to give their second string more practice?

You're seriously grasping, and letting your anti-Pats bias overshadow reality.

Ummm, I could say the exact same thing about you...you're letting your pro-Pats bias overshadow reality and really reaching with the experience thing on 4th down thing - that's what practice is for....

If you watch any other team, when they have a commanding lead, they pull their starters and who do they put in? The second string. This happens in just about every sport.

Please don't try to compare the game vs the Ravens or the Colts with the Bills game. They buried the Bills, not so with the Colts or the Ravens.
