My son and I went to H-mart last night to stock up on our asian supplies.
It's 22 miles away but also in a heavy traffic area. It was good to stock up on basics, like fish sauce, oyster sauce, Hoisin sauce, a gallon of soy sauce and some teriyaki sauce.
Also grabbed a 40 lb bag of pink Kokuho Rose rice, some fresh veggies, like baby bok choy and lemon grass and a gallon bucket of kimchee.
We ran out of time as they were closing and chasing us out. Probably just as well as we spent $330.

There was an Asian grocery store near my parents old house, called V-Mart International Market that had a great selection. It’s amazing what is out there that you don’t know you want until you try it!

It also infers that you are willing to try things outside of your comfort zone.
Twenty odd years ago I worked with this sales guy of Italian ancestry.
He believed in the two basic food groups, steak and pasta.
It was such a joy travelling with the guy.

Vito had some french fries from yesterday’s meal at the pub, so I put them in the oven to heat up. Three hours later I noticed the oven was on. Opened it and voila - black worms! I was amazed nothing caught on fire.

Put aside time this afternoon to make a ziti. I’ll eat tonight and get about 8-10 portions for the freezer.

Needed a longer test drive in the s2k after working on it, and it was in the 80's here in MO yesterday, so we dropped the top and went for some BBQ. Our preferred place nearby is not open during the week so we went to Bates City, MO on back roads. Not nearly as good as our regular place but not bad and will have some leftovers tonight

In all my years I never really had baked Ziti but always heard it mentioned in Mob movies, lol. That looks good.

Hey Jerry that entire menu looks great, and pricing is quite fair too. Lots of good offerings there, and good pizza choices. I would get excited just with the pasta e fagioli soup/zuppa , my favourite.
Very nice !
