Thanks to the Perky lady talking about Oat Milk I bought some Oat milk today while shopping.
It is organic and locally made, and it comes in a glass bottle ( I love drinks that still come in glass bottles). The ingredient list was very short, no additives or preservatives and they use organic oats. It tasted pretty much as I expected, not too bad actually. It definitely tastes like oats, and I like it better than almond milk. It has a decent amount of protein.
It isn't cheap though, the one litre bottle costs as much as 3 litres of organic milk, so it is a bit pricey. I might buy it again in the future but it is too expensive to use in large quantities or on a regular basis.

Sadly, another one of our fave restaurants we ordered from during the pandemic is closing in June. Another victim of the tear down in Arlington Co to make way for larger multi-use properties. We are hopeful they will open elsewhere but rents here are very high.

After drinking a fair bit of oat milk today, the taste is starting to grow on me. I like eating oatmeal so the taste comes natural to me, some people may not like it but it basically tastes like oats.
I find it a bit expensive to buy at my grocers, as much as I like it I paid too much for it, so I may try making it at home. It seems very easy to make. Only two ingredients - water and oats.
