Just your average thick sliced white bread from a local grocer we shop at, nothing fancy. Our son likes sliced white bread.

Thanks to the Perky lady talking about Oat Milk I bought some Oat milk today while shopping.

It is organic and locally made, and it comes in a glass bottle ( I love drinks that still come in glass bottles). The ingredient list was very short, no additives or preservatives and they use organic oats. It tasted pretty much as I expected, not too bad actually. It definitely tastes like oats, and I like it better than almond milk. It has a decent amount of protein.

It isn't cheap though, the one litre bottle costs as much as 3 litres of organic milk, so it is a bit pricey. I might buy it again in the future but it is too expensive to use in large quantities or on a regular basis.

My wife is making carrot cake for Easter. She makes it well, one of her favourites.

Sadly, another one of our fave restaurants we ordered from during the pandemic is closing in June. Another victim of the tear down in Arlington Co to make way for larger multi-use properties. We are hopeful they will open elsewhere but rents here are very high.

I find it a bit expensive to buy at my grocers, as much as I like it I paid too much for it, so I may try making it at home. It seems very easy to make. Only two ingredients - water and oats.

Cool...if not wait for the home Numilk machine. Will be awhile though and not cheap. But people pay hundreds or thousands for coffee machines, so...
