Doesn't sound good...I'd want a new car too.

Anyone know of a good attorney that would handle something like this?

Haven't had the need for an attorney in ages... and then it was a divorce attorney.

I agree... if the motor is shot.... not sure I want a new motor dropped in....

That could cause a lot of problems down the road..... but not sure if Hyundai would replace the entire car.

Would love to know my rights on that....

Guess I'll just wait to see what Hyundai says....

Sounds like the oil pump died. If you just bought the car and no one but the dealer has worked on the car I would imagine that they will take care of this for you at their cost.

I don't doubt they will take care of it..... nobody has touched the motor in its short 1,400 mile life.

I'm concerned that a 2 week old car loses its motor (not confirmed yet).... not sure I would trust the dealership to get every screw, nut, wire, clip. hose done 100% completely right.....

What potential issues might I have in a year, a bolt not tightened enough.... or after 50,000 miles (less than 2 years of driving for me).... a clip not put in far enough backs out and causes a major issue.....

That takes multiple visits to the dealer for the same issue.... won't apply for my problem.

Bummer Mike!

My lawers are Dewey, Cheatum & Howe and when they speak people cringe!

Good luck.

Just got off the phone with the dealer...

They said the engine was locked up.

New one will be in and installed by the end of next week.

Probably will try and find a lawyer to see if I have any rights..... not holding out much hope for that... but its worth a shot.

Not trying to get anything for free.... just want a car that I can depend on, and have faith in.

I hope they are at least providing you with a loaner while yours is in the shop.

D@mn, I was hoping for something simple. I have yet to know anyone having a brand new car with this problem until now. Hope they handle this to your satisfaction. Best of luck!
