It was a b*tch getting more thru that tire valve!
start off, whumpa whumpa whumpa until the oil spreads around he wheel and the ride smooths out.
come to a stop, it's settles back down and the cycle starts over.
explain that one to your dealer....

For example: On our way to SF11 in Asheville, NC it used about 6/10th of a quart on the way down there (on interstates). I topped it off before the Saturday drive and even though we were V-TECing during the drive, I drove it all the way home without using a drop. Example #2: When I drive the S to visit my Mother on Long Island (all interstate with virtually no V-TEC) on the 360 mile drive up north it can use about a half a quart and then not use a drop on the drive back to Virginia. In the summer of 2011 when I had Bill Man 250 (NY's Metro Mechanic) do a valve adjustment and plug change at 99,226 miles I ran this issue by him and he agreed that it was weird and that my theory of having an intermittent sticking ring (which lines up to allow blow by) was as logical of an explanation of any he could come up with.
Does anyone else have any ideas about this?
