What are you referring to? Branta canadensis?

I hope he isn't referring to our geese. Except for pooping all over the place, they don't hurt anybody. They are a kick to hear flying over, very noisy with their honking. Great entertainment.

I agree. I see so many V formations of them flying when I'm driving around here. One day they really amused me and I wished I could pull over and take photos. Lake Loveland is in the middle of town and it's mostly frozen. I saw one thawed spot with a bunch of them sitting in it. Then there was what looked like a pilgramage of geese on this five foot wide path, walking on a long trail toward the water. I wondered why they walked instead of flying, and went on a trail and what they would do when they all got to the small thawed spot. I find them very interesting. I usually hear them before I see them if I'm not driving.

Just part of it is their pooping all over the place.

We have had lakes closed for swimming do to e coli issues due to all the poop along the beach areas...

https://www.des.nh.gov/organization/...ents/bb-53.pdf

Then, they take their 5-10 babies and try to cross roads, stopping traffic.

And they are never alone around here.... you will see gaggles that might be 100-200 at a time near the lakes or ponds.

Send them all back to Canada, or use them to feed the starving!

Unfortunately, we've got the same experience with these geese There are many of them in various areas, any body of water in close proximity to them ends up polluted. There is a small pond around a local park. Years ago it was used for ice skating, paddle boats in summer, not any more. At times I walk around the area, as there are still some pretty water lilies on the pond and a heron hangs out there as well. However, once must be very careful as to where one steps. Between the ducks and the geese, there are "landmines" everywhere.

They are extremely aggressive if you get too close to their nest or their young. They are protected (God knows why!) so you can't bother them when they are nesting. It is surprising how fast they can move when confronted with a small pickup truck! As far as I'm concerned the only good goose is a dead goose! We need to build a wall on our northern border to keep them out!!!
