Feeding the Birds

Saw a news report that some folks in Pennsylvania watching an eagle cam were a little horrified when an Eagle brought a kitty cat back to the nest for the baby eaglets to feast upon. I figure the birds are fighting back!

Wow...one eaglet just stretched out a wing and it is the width of the entire nest! I guess they grow into their wings and feet.

Hummingbirds are back! I've not seen them, but Rick has.
Also sparrow population does not seem to be as large. Looks like the pieces of fishing line near feeders are working.

Hope to see a few around here....
That being said, we saw one Sunday during our walk with our 10 lb alpha male dog!

I saw a blue jay yesterday down below the apt. Don't see too many around here.

Eaglets are seven weeks old now and will fly somewhere between 10 (early June) and 14 (early July) weeks.
