Feeding the Birds
#22
I didn't have too much action at my feeders this AM, but I could see a bird sitting on a wire not far away. I'm pretty sure it was a hawk. That could explain the lack of feeder activity.

I need some advice. 2 Robins are making a nest on a stoop over our front door. I do not want to remove it but since this our entrance door will we disturb it with our daily traffic. When they see us they fly away so I don't know if they will abandon the nest. Thanks.

I've removed the beginnings of a bird nest several times, as they try to build under the awning brackets/frame.

We have had them in a wreath that hangs near the front door and behind the porch wall light. I agree; if you spot it in time, move it and avoid the mess...... because your coming and going will not drive them away.

Figured I'd help the birds out....
We have an issue with stray/feral cats in our yard/neighborhood.
See them out back in our bushes stalking the birds.... we also haven't seen a rabbit in 2 years, used to have 3-5 running around.
So... borrowed my neighbors trap (for a skunk problem we had a couple of years ago), and caught one last night around 10:00.... took it to a new home about 15 minutes away, plenty of wooded area.
Just looked, and have another one in the trap..... time to go for a drive again!

Val had a major problem with cats in her yard. But they were neighbor cats, so she had a bigger problem getting rid of them. I think the main one is not around anymore for whatever reason. But she set up an electrified perimeter which I think helped.
