Feeding the Birds
#2421
The birds seem a little sparse this year. Maybe because there isn't any snow cover? I normally fill the feeders every third day but I am now doing it about every 12 days.

We haven't seen any let up to speak of but still nothing like the old winter-white days. Daughter gave us a nice cedar and copper bird house.

We had a pileated woodpecker here today . . . we rarely see them . . . so big and cool looking.

Lucky you! I've only seen one once while in the woods. Big cool looking bird!

Not my yard. I spotted these two guys on my favorite nature trail last winter. I look for them whenever I pass the spot where I saw then but haven't seen them again.

We have tons of bird activity today of all kinds. Here's a shot of some of the cardinals. How many can you count?

I heard this Flicker pecking on my house before I saw him.

Think I see 12 cardinals and one other bird that looks like a sparrow.
