I guess they're a bit like bullet trains - take a while to get moving but definitely haul carriage once they're up to speed.

This was a visitor I was not expecting. Likely going for the fruit in the bird seed "log", though it looked as it she was also eating from the little dish too. Female Baltimore Oriole. I have tried to attract them to my yard without success. I've had a few quick visits over the years, that's it. This little lady must be hungry. She's been around a lot today. Through the window pics.

It was a crazy day at the feeders. I kid you not when I say we had at least 5 dozen birds today almost all at the same time.
