If you can believe the internet about finches in Canada, Lainey is right.. or we have first if you pick my answer. No yellows listed on a couple sites I checked.
- Grey-crowned rosy-finch, Leucosticte tephrocotis LC
- House finch, Haemorhous mexicanus (Native to the southwestern U.S.; introduced in the east) LC
- Purple finch, Haemorhous purpureus LC
- Cassin's finch, Haemorhous cassinii LC

Sadly this little Blue Jay did not make it. Found him in the yard under a large tree.

My feeders have been a little quiet still. I am seeing and hearing a Carolina Wren. Love their song. It's so hot, I think the birds are in hiding too.

The $%^@$ing squirrels have destroyed all four of my tube feeders. So I ordered one from Droll Yankees that the reviews say has lasted most people over 30 years. Not cheap, but we shall see if it will stand up to our vermin.

Read an article lately about the lull in feeder activity. Usually it is due to there being an abundant supply of natural foods. Feeder foods comprise only a percentage of their diets and they prefer the fresh "stuff" that nature provides.
