As I work from home, I look out my window daily. There's a walnut tree and something else, no more than 20-25 feet, but the branches are within 6-8 feet from my window. Birds hop in, hop out. I keep my camera on the desk, but they don't sit for long.
I almost got this one in focus....

5-31-2020. Birds? What birds? The two blurs are dueling hummers.

Speaking of hummingbirds, maybe you should get one of these!

The squirrels have been wiping out my suet in less than three days. I had tried some of this a while ago and it seems to last longer. Last time I found it on Amazon, but the price went up quite a bit when I went to purchase more. I found it on a different web site and the price was lower and shipping reasonable. Here's a link if anyone is interested.

Not in my yard, likely a bit grainy, but I only got a few shots of this guy and then he was gone!
