We had lots of turkey vultures flying around our house on the hill. There was a peak above us and they would catch the wind rising off the peak, and just sit midair not moving an inch. Fabulous to watch. I have a picture somewhere of a dozen of them sitting on vineyard endposts with their wings spread, but darned if I can find it.

^ 5-2-2020. Picky little hummer. I made new hummingbird food and put my feeder on the deck railing a couple of days ago after I got buzzed by a hummer so I knew they were around. I didn't get any action so I hung it up tonight and within 5 minutes the hummer was on it. It's a noisy one! I couldn't see the colors but it sounds like the noisy Rufous.

I think everyone probably knows my daughter, Christa, is a zookeeper at the Denver Zoo. She posted a video and these two photos on her Facebook page:
We've been short-staffed every single day since the insanity started back in March and each day has been some sort of crazy. We decided to make time to do something fun together as a team. Thank you Anton for inviting the Carnivore team to join the flamingos during their daily walkabout!
