Went out into the backyard to pick some trash up, and saw this hawk on our woodpile. Was lucky enough to get inside, grab the camera and get back outside while he was still there.

on the hawk pics! Good job. I've noticed they sit in one place for a while but I'm surprised he didn't fly away when you were moving about.

Surprised me to.

After I came in and put the camera down, a couple of squirrels kept messing with the hawk.... they'd come onto the same branch as the hawk, get within a couple of feet, and the hawk would fly off...

Did that 2-3 times as Kathy and I watched.

Saw two bluebirds in our neighbor's yard yesterday. They are probably my favorite birds. Their blue color is so beautiful. Don't see them very often.

This guy took 720,000 photos to get the perfect Kingfisher shot. He has a lot more time, determination, and perseverance than I have.
