Feeding the Birds

A little more bird watching for inside the house today.
Our little Blue Bird of happiness. We have about six that shoe up twice a day. They take turns at the suet feeder.
This guy has me worried. Either there is something dead in the woods next to the house or he saw my last physical report. There are several in the woods and they take turns warming up on the neighbors roof.

On July 8, 2019 I saw this on another ElliptiGO ride and was really curious what was going on.

Looks like they are either drying their wings or warming up in the sun.
Years ago in my old apt, one of the enclosed balconies was maybe 20 feet from the balcony on an office building next door. For awhile two vultures would roost on the railing. I got an up close view of them. Definitely really ugly.

I believe they are turkey buzzards.

The feeders are quite busy today. This is the first time we have seen both the male and the female Red Bellied Woodpecker.

Nice shot Scoots.

Nice Dave. I've had the red bellied in my yard a couple times. What is the difference between the male and female? More red somewhere?
I got a shot of a bluebird today, not in my yard, and a few more shots of the tree swallows and a savannah swallow also not in my yard.
The goldfinch are really hanging out on the feeders, eating lots of seed.

Surprisingly our goldfinches don’t touch our thistle feeder. I’m wondering about the placement so in the next few days I’m going to move it and see.
