Beautiful photo. They can be annoying birds, but they are pretty too!

Anyone have any luck with the hot pepper suet? The squirrels are making pigs of themselves on my suet, or do you have one of the cage inside a cage feeders?

We were just headed out to pick up a few of the pepper suets, got in the Honda and the idle is too high/racing..........again. Guess I'll go hang out in Roy's CEL thread while Rick deals with the car.

Spray WD-40,on the post of the feeder, the squirrels will slip right down to the ground.

^11-26-2019. I keep putting food out after scraping off the snow. Maury and Atticus are entertained.

Time to go shake the snow off the feeders and put out one clean feeder. The bird bath (which is still unused) is looking good...A little ice around the edges, but nice clean water waiting for the birds.

According to the internet birds don't like the smell of pepper. We had a pepper rub handy that we made for spreading on spare ribs, so I made a paste and spread it on the foil. Guess we will see how effective that is and for how long.

He's a pretty red one. We just have the grey ones around here, with the occasional black or albino.

Love the photo, Gary. The squirrels are out there every day looking for opportunities. I did try out the pepper suet and they seem to be leaving it alone. They are welcome to seed on the ground, and if they beat the blue jays to the peanuts, well I can't control that!

I saw a tufted tit mouse take a quick drink from the bird bath this AM. We'll see if he passes the word along to his pals. Still not a ton of bird activity.
